Un Llibre per als nens del món per a tots els països d’arreu del planeta
De l’arameu al zulú: El llibre il•lustrat Soc petita? ha estat traduït a més de 200 llengües i varietats lingüístiques des que es va publicar per primera vegada.
Aquesta història de l’autor Philipp Winterberg està disponible per a tots els països del món, si més no en una de les llengües estatals. Es tracta del primer llibre per a nens del món que abraça tot el planeta.
A Soc petita? els lectors de totes les edats hi acompanyen una nena anomenada Tamia en un viatge ple d’esdeveniments extraordinaris. Gràcies a aquesta aventura, tots plegats descobreixen que l’alçada és relativa i que, per tant, la Tamia és, senzillament, tal com ha de ser. La revista Eselsohr qualifica el llibre d’“encisador”. Börsenblatt n’assenyala que és “òptim per a famílies bilingües i llars d’infants”. Per la seva banda, la revista Kirkus Reviews, especialitzada en ressenyes bibliogràfiques, lloa el llibre, tot recomanant-lo especialment “a aquells nens que gaudeixen endinsant-se en pàgines plenes de criatures màgiques i detalls enigmàtics [...] narrats sota la forma de mots senzills i engrescadors, així com imatges evocadores”.
A hores d’ara, més de 500 traductors ja han participat en el Llibre dels nens del món. En alguns casos, però, la recerca no va donar fruit fins al cap d’uns quants mesos. “Vaig trigar gairebé un any a trobar un traductor de tibetà”, afirma Winterberg. Ara, el llibre també està disponible en milers de combinacions de llengües, com ara àrab-tagàlog o portuguès-tigrinya (aquesta darrera, per exemple, és una llengua que es parla a Etiòpia i Eritrea). El guió del llibre evoca els dibuixos de la infantesa.
En anys i dècades propvinents, el projecte del Llibre dels nens del món continuarà creixent. L’objectiu ara consisteix a traduir progressivament Soc petita? a més de 500 llengües i varietats lingüístiques diferents.

Sobre l’autor
Philipp B. Winterberg (màster en humanitats) va estudiar Ciències de la comunicació, Psicologia i Dret. Resident a Berlín, s’enorgulleix de ser polifacètic: ha fet paracaigudisme a Namíbia, ha practicat la meditació a Tailàndia, i ha nedat amb taurons i escurçanes a les Fiji i la Polinèsia.
